Five Friday Favorites 5th Edition

We’re finally back with Five Friday Favorites! I had a bit of a hiatus over the holidays, but I’m back now and ready to throw some of my latest favorites at ya!

Up & Up Bath Salts in Soothing Lavender and Relaxing Coconut Oil- I recently found these Target Brand bath salts and am really enjoying them. I actually combine the two in one big glass jar and use a wooden scoop to ladle them into my bath at night. I see a noticeable difference in the relaxation of not only my mind but the literal muscles of my body when I use bath salts vs when I don’t and these have been some of my favorites!

The Bridgerton Soundtrack- I loved the show but they really outdid themselves with the music! I combined the 6 songs from the soundtrack with some other fun covers by Vitamin String Quartet into a playlist I call “Fresh Starts” on Spotify.

Kleem Organics Advanced Retinol Moisturizer- I have been using this night time moisturizer since October and I really like it. I think it is a fabulous introductory retinol. It doesn’t dry out or aggravate your skin at all, so it can be used on a daily basis and worked into a solid routine. Plus, it’s very affordable. One jar has lasted me 3 months.

Kindle Paperwhite- I have had my Paperwhite for 3 years (I bought it for myself as a Valentine’s Day present) and it is the #1 reason that I am able to read as much as I do! I love how portable it is, I don’t have to deal with a book light, AND I have such a full library of books on my kindle to choose from at any given time. I don’t have the waterproof version yet, but when I do get it someday I will certainly appreciate not having to put it in a ziplock bag every time I read in the bath! Haha!

The Kindle Challenge- When a little email landed in my inbox on January 2nd notifying me that I was on a reading streak, having read every day so far this year (haha!!!) I was enthused and curious! How did they know?! Well, unbeknownst to me, Kindle actually keeps track of every day I read! I was elated to get into my Kindle app and discover that it contained all sorts of stats about my reading that I never knew existed! Pile on top of those fun facts the ability to earn virtual badges from Kindle for reading in the month of January and I was bound and determined to be the most consistent reader ever in 2021. And ya know what? So far, it’s totally working! I haven’t missed a day yet and I love checking off badge after badge! Head over to the Kindle Challenge site to see how to participate!
